A Special Thanks To…

By Elizabeth

Josh and I were able to write UNBORED because a lot of people were extremely generous with their ideas and support of our project. The influence of a particular organization that is very dear to my heart can be felt on several pages.

The Camp du Nord secret to making a birch bark house that holds together is to use fiberfill to connect the bark’s seams.

I got the original inspiration for “Get Focused: Make a Kumihimo Braid” (page 64) and “Birch Bark Houses” (page 148) at Camp du Nord, the northern Minnesota family camp my family is blessed to visit for a week every summer. Judy at the camp’s Family Arts Center has more creativity in a single nose hair than I possess in my entire body.
